Candle Light Vigil for AirAsia 8501

The latest news on AirAsia QZ8501 being crashed into Java Sea is both tragic and distressing. AirAsia is founded in Malaysia.

Many Malaysians take this to heart and mourn for all those who are on this flight.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those on board, and their surviving family and friends.

Together with the Indonesian Community here in Chicago, we are having a vigil service at

Malaysian Club of Chicago

553 West 31st Street Chicago IL 60616

Saturday, January 3rd, 2015, at 4:30pm.

Please join us to share your prayers and thoughts for those who are suffering through this.

East Coast Flood Relief Effort
Malaysia is experiencing the worst flooding in recent history. To date, eight states are affected, tens of people killed, and millions evacuated.

Looking at images of the flood situation brings sorrow to heart and deep sympathy to so many people who have lost everything.

Currently, the Malaysian Red Crescent and many other organizations are uniting in relief efforts and also calling all Malaysians for help.

Below are some sites that you can donate money directly to the relief effort.
